Very busy weekend - celebratory, all good things, but the kind of weekend you kind of need a day from.  I'm here at work though, excited to now be in the final month of the school year.
Lot of running around later today, yawn.

Friday was my work event.  All of our caregiver options for DH fell through, but he managed by himself, as I didn't have the option to stay home.  Our event went extremely well with no major hiccups.  DH didn't eat lunch or drink much to limit trips to the restroom.

Saturday was a veg day here.  We got a grocery order on Saturday morning.  It was the first time I've had them delivered, and I think it went well.  My preferred store is offering free delivery this summer to members of its free rewards club.  I'll do it again. I did a few household things and took a long nap.

Sunday, we did recliner church.  An out-of-town friend was stopping by for dinner on her way through.  I tidied up the house, prepped for dinner and blew off all the cottonwood mess on our deck & chairs.  I grilled pork chops and foil packets of potatoes and broccoli.  We also had a fresh fruit salad.  It all turned out well.

Back to work today.  I had a phone call with my supervisor to explain the changes to my home situation.  We worked out coverage for some on-site responsibilities in July, and she'll have more discussions with leadership about how to move forward.  We have plenty of work to keep me busy at home, but positions like mine at our other sites are hybrid, so I'm not sure they'll agree to full-time WFH.  I want to continue working here and not retire, so I hope they'll work with me.  Purple vibes requested.

  • Weekend was good. Two grandsons had ball games so that was a lot of fun. I love the little guys with T-ball. We came home yesterday.

Today H and I cleaned out a storage area above our kitchen. It is the easiest one to tackle so it feels like we accomplished a lot. That area is also weather dependent on when cleaning it can be done. The temperature was perfect for today. Next on the list will be the basement storage area or the garage. Again weather dependent. I think I over did it because my back is hurting. Not sharp pains but tired achey stuff. I now have a few things listed on Marketplace and a load to take to Goodwill. Our trash is also full!

We may start on the basement tomorrow depending on how I feel - I'm the one that starts it all. H won't do it on his own!

We have church book club tonight. We read Vanishing Half. My other book club read it a few years ago and I liked it. I need to read the synopsis to refresh my memory of the book. I remember parts of it, but not all based on the questions the leader sent.
