Been there and drove by it every day on the way to and from jr.high and high school.  I don't remember pricing. It's pretty to some; depends on the eye of the beholder.  To me it's a lil' awkward that people still live upstairs.

I went and was not impressed.  The people are snooty, the place needs major renovations, and they are expensive.  They would not give us a break down in price, just a total and the total for us for 120 people was starting at $14,000.  Way out of my budget.  When my DH tried to talk to them about how they came up with that total they couldn't give him an answer.

I second ayers. I toured it and met with the coordinator who left me in a room and came back with a price of 18,000  for 100 people, including food, DJ and alcohol. I liked the house but it's pretty tight I think a wedding of 100 would even be too tight for the inside of the house. I didn't like how they did their pricing, they just throw a number at you.

I went as well and didn't like the small room for the reception.  I thought if I have 150 people in here..it is going to be cramped.  We were trying to get the price but you have to sit down with Mrs. Fontenot and she evaluates you and probably decides if you can afford it.  Not impressed. Other venues they would give me a base price of what it cost, but not the FGM.

it smells like moth balls....and the lady of the house got upset when i asked for a break down....her exact words "we do not operate in a 3rd world country where we are haggled for our prices" um yeah lady that was not what i was doing.  she pretty much showed me to door after i had a few choice words for her....lol plus i hated how their stuff was coverd by glass (ie. the big clock by the door) seemed like a museum and not a place for a wedding.  just my 2 cents.

Went to a wedding there in December.  It is pretty, kind of museum-like.  Don't let anyone touch anything. For this wedding, the ceremony and reception were inside, so they locked everyone outside for hors d'oeurves while they turned over the room.  It was really cold, and there was only one outdoor heater.  There were probably 135+ people at the wedding and this room was PACKED.  Way too full. They had to cut the cakes before anyone ate just to make room for the dances, etc.The lady of the house isn't the nicest. The food was ok, and the DJ was pretty bad.

It was very creepy to me.  It was the first place I went to visit.
