The "New" Birth Control: Pulling Out It's here -- the birth control you've been waiting for. No more pills. No more messy condoms. No more shots or rings or spermicides. So what is it? Well, the withdrawal method. Otherwise lovingly known as "pulling out." No, that's not a typo. Researchers at the Guttmacher Institute have released a study saying that not only is the withdrawal method effective at preventing pregnancy (most of the time -- and only if used correctly), but that women in their late 20s and early 30s are ditching condoms and opting for, ahem, the luck of the withdrawal. What do you think about this? I mean, sure, once you're married, STDs aren't as big of a concern, and pregnancy, even if unplanned, doesn't pose the same panic-inducing what-am-I-going-to-do feeling that it might have before your wedding. But it still could be a gamble. Would you trust "pulling out" for your birth control method?
