Cold/Snowy Honeymoon Destinations?

Hey girls!FI and I want to go somewhere cold for our Honeymoon, which will be the week before Christmas.I have never seen real snow, so going somewhere that might have snow would be awesome.  We both just want to relax and veg out.  So nowhere too activity based, but having the option would be nice.  Mostly, beautiful scenery would be at the top of the want list.Any ideas? Needs to be in the continental U.S because of restrictions on the airline miles.I haven't traveled a lot in the U.S. so I am kind of at a loss on where to go. Originally, I wanted Alaska and then Canada. FI suggested we fly to somewhere close to Canada, and then drive across the border.  Im not really sure how good an idea that is!!

    Ruidoso, New Mexico? We go skiing there every other year. It's gorgeous!

    I was going to suggest CO as well.I like Ruidoso, it's a great town with good food, but it doesn't always have snow. I went in Jan 08, and it didn't have any snow (the mountain was covered with the fake stuff) until the day we left.

    We went to Colorado Springs and stayed at the www.rockymountainlodge.com in their honeymoon suite. They have amazing packages and winter activites. Very cozy and romantic and wintery.

    I'm from Michigan (Detroit) and I took the train from Windsor (Canada) to Toronto...very pretty!  I would also recommend going to New York.  I recommend flying to Buffalo and seeing the Niagara Falls, very romantic!

    @SHUVUU

    I just went to their website and I'm in LOVE with it--but I have a question for you--you stated you stayed in the "honeymoon suite" which one is that? The cascade? I just looked into the cabin and adding every package--did you really enjoy yourself? Was it too cold? FI and I love it and are pretty much sold on it--I'm just a little nervous about the cold--did you freeze since there is just fireplaces?
