My fiance and I are planning on a budget, but we also have rather large families. That means inviting a lot of people on an extremely tight budget.
We want an evening reception with dancing, but we can't afford to serve a full dinner. Many of our guests will be on the older side, so we don't want to go very late.
Would starting the ceremony at 5:00 be too early since we're only serving appetizers and cake at the reception (which would start about 6 and we'd be doing the important dance/cake stuff starting about 7)?
