OOT Bags

I just got back from a wedding that was in Baton Rouge, LA… the bride had OOT bags for all of her out of town guest, which we already planned to do…my question is what local treats can we put in our bags?  They had things that we’re from the area… Cajun & Jalapeno flavored chips, pralines, Hubigs pies, Abita beer, Barq’s root beer; all her treats were from or originated from Louisiana… FI likes the idea too, but we don’t know what local treats to put in our OOT bags… we thought of Blue Bell and Shipley’s but we can’t do either for the obvious reasons…Any ideas?

TIA!

depending on whats in season durin the time of yourwedding. Stawberries are in season in April/May time frame. There is always slices of peacan pie :) Mason jars with jalapeno or other spicy flavored spices or marinades.

House of Pies? They have mini pies you can buy. Or maybe if you went to college in Texas, a little keychain or something?

Be sure to stick to edibles and items they could actually use.  Nobody likes extra "junk" that they will have to haul back home.

What I've done in the past:
    Texas shaped cookies
    BBQ Sauce
    Hot Sauce
Small bottles of some Texas wine
Map & Calendar of events for Houston
Basic toiletries (small toothpaste/floss, aspirin, sunscreen---these are excellent if your wedding will be outdoors)
    Personalized bottled water

    Hope this helps!
