a BUDGET wedding

Ok so I'm not totally new to the site and I am aware of previous posts such as this one but I was wondering if I could receive your help. Fiance and I originally planned on getting married in June of next year but due to recent family problems we aren't where I'd like to be saving wise. I'm open to off days such as a Friday or Sunday wedding and DIY but is it really possible to find a hall for $4000??Our entire budget is $7000 and yes that includes rings and my dress which we already have figured out but we have yet to find an affordable place to hold 120 people and allow outside catering. Not to mention we're pretty much having an interracial wedding. Practically everyone on his side speaks spanish except the kids while everyone on my side speaks english and only understands a couple words in spanish other than my grandparents.  Well I guess I'm just venting now but I'm open to any and all suggestions and thanks for your help in advance.

I don't know if you are open to Galveston, but if you are, the Garten Verein is extremely reasonable.  It is a historical building and the rental includes tables and chairs.  You have to bring in your own catering, and if I remember correctly when I looked into it the cost was around $1900 for Saturdays and $700 or so for Sundays and during the week.  You can also reserve the small park where it is located if you are looking to have an outdoor wedding.  You can contact the Galveston Historical Society to get emailed info.  In Seabrook, there is the Seabrook Community House.  That is where we are having our reception.  I paid in the ballpark of $800 and also includes the tables and chairs.  There is a full kitchen also.  Good luck!

Look into Brady's Landing. I got married on a Sunday in February and my whole wedding was a little bit under 8,000.
And now we are as one

Kemah Gardens has package for 100 guests on Fri evening for $2995 or $2495 for Sunday evening. Includes 1 hour of chaning/set up, 4 hrs for ceremony and reception and 1 hour for clean up. You can even provide own alcohol.

I would suggest a bilingual dj. I recommend calling/texting DJ Sounds by Mario 832 665-6049. He charges slight less an hour than other dj's. You can also email him for quote/information at: mariodadj@yahoo.com.

I'm having mine at Oakland on Burnett Bay (in baytown). The package is only about $1500 for up to 150 guests, includes tables/chairs/linens, coordination, DJ. You bring your own alcohol and food.
The only downside is that it's all outside, so being TX the wedding would need to be early or late in the year.
