Videography

Hi girls!

Have any of you heard of or met with Simmons Visual Arts?  I met with them briefly at the Bridal Extravaganza.  They seem really nice.  I have a meeting with them soon.  What are good questions to ask your videographer?

Thanks!

Re: Videography

  • Ask questions about the obvious questions like what they include and what they use and all that but it's also good to know what style your videographer will shoot and maybe even things like what he thinks the most important parts of the wedding are. Since they are shooting your important day, its good to have someone who thinks similar to what your likings are. :) maybe ask if youll get cds and if so how many and how long it will take to get them
  • I would definitaley ask when you will be receiving your completed product.  I have heard horror stories of people that never got their wedding CD's.
  • Bella Vista has the best product I've seen, however they were out of our budget. They really get to know the couple's style and make everything very personal. We are using Dustin Stelly of  http://stellyweddings.com/ and are very excited. He has just gone out on his own from a larger company so his rates are still reasonable. He has a few samples on his website and we loved his style.

I would make sure and watch some of their promos or samples before you sign up. You want to know the style and quality you will get. Also ask them how many people will be shooting, do they have a mic on the groom/pastor, do they have a camera on just the groom for his reaction, do they have the 360 degree camera? do they do voice over, sound from your vows or do they basically make a music video, do you get to choose the songs they use?

Just some things we came across when looking.
