Do you and FI attend church often? Some CCs request that you be a memeber for 6+ months. so this might be a good start.
try looking them up on http://www.archgh.org/Find-a-Parish/
and find a parish near the two of you or the venue you wish to have you reception

Annunciation Catholic Church, pics in bio

Gorgeous and do not need to be a member and only $500 to book

The Annuciation Catholic Church is a beautiful church and it's right next to Minute Maid Park.  We are getting married there in 42 days.  You don't have to be a member there.

St. Michael Catholic Church has just been remodeled and updated. Looks amazing! They charge $600 for non-members.

My sister got married there nearly 10 years ago, and we looked there too. Pretty sure you have to be a member for 6 months before you book your wedding there but I could be wrong

I was just at St. Michael's for the Engaged Encounter weekend.  They did say that you must be a member in order to get married there. On a side note, it is a very beautiful church.

We have already booked our church for 2/11/12 - St. Ignatius Loyola in Spring (near where we live and our reception).  You do not have to be members there or at Prince of Peace.  Keep in mind non-members always pay considerably more, and to be considered a member, you must be so for one year prior to requesting to book your wedding.

Thank you so much for all the responds,we will definitely check out all the suggestions. We have been to St. Ann Catholic Church and really love it. but you must be a member for at least 6 months prior before we can require our date. Have you or do you know anyone that have gotten marry there? I would like to know what does being a member entail and how much does it cost total. Again thank you so much for the responds!

I'm getting married at St. Vincent de Paul on Holcombe/Buffalo Speedway. They charge $450 for six-month parishioner and $600 for non-parishioners. But be careful, at SVDP they have all these other little fees ($20 for a mandatory alter server, $125 for the marriage coordinator who prepares you and is day-of coordinator, etc). Don't know if the other churches in the area do the same. You'll also want to check if you have to go through the full preparatory process to get married there, those can take quite a bit of time.

Oh and btw, most churches consider you a "member" if you register as a parishioner and regularly tithe. There's no set amount you have to tithe and I don't believe there's even a set number of times you have to tithe or anything.
