We have booked the church in Pasadena, but we are looking for a budget friendly reception site near there.

Has anyone heard of Silver Sycamore?
 
-or does anyone have any ideas for Pasadena/Surrounding areas?

Could you have the reception at the church?

Silver Sycamore is really pretty, but might be a bit pricey.

The Fountain Court has pretty pictures, but it's not in a good part of town (on Preston close to 225).  My fiance and I drove over there to check it out, because the online pics are beautiful.  We weren't impressed with the outside of the building... it could've been that the yard needs mowing/trees trimmed... just looked sorta run down.  Not really a pretty area for good photos but maybe it just needs to be cleaned up.  www.fountaincourtweddings.com

The White House Ranch in Friendswood - bit pricey for a wedding, not sure how much for a reception only.

You could always do a reception at a hotel in the area - most hotels can accommodate receptions.

I am having my reception at Brady's Landing which is right off the ship channel off 225. They have very affordable prices.

Bradys Landing has 5 different ballrooms available. They are having a bridal show July 25th 11am-3pm if you're interested, 713-928-9921.

STAY AWAY from the Silver Sycamore!  A very good friend of mine got married there and they were awful.  They didn't uphold their end of the contract and were constantly changing prices. 

The owners were so hard to work with and ended up throwing out the parents of the bride at the end of the night when they were cleaning up because they wanted to go home.  They were trying to pack up all the items they brought to the reception and clean enough to get their security deposit back. 

They also never returned the security deposit. 

They filed a calim last year.
