Need chair covers?

Hello! I just wrapped up my wedding party at the houston heights firestation. I now have 200+ white polyester with satin sash chair covers on my hands! I purchased them for $3 a piece. I am selling them for $1 a piece as is. $1.50 a piece if want them laundered first.

It is for folding chairs- the satin sash is white.

I'm thinking of using the Fire Station but I've heard some bad things about it. What was your experience there?

it's funny, initially i didn't like the venue. I didn't like the fact that the only time i could view the venue was on a saturday at like 9am. But it was cheap and the ONLY place available with such short notice. I was REALLY worried that we wouldn't get our deposit back after reading reviews- not that my husband cared- but i did. You pay for the venue which was like $1100 or something and another $750 for chair/table/portable bar/1st floor ac rental. $500 deposit and $200 chair lift deposit if you choose to use it. Then on top of that- i spent maybe another $1000 on linens *which i purchased online due to the fact that renting is double the price*. Even though the rent on the venue is cheap- all the extra things that go along with using the firestation really adds up. i also spent another $550 through my caterer hiring help to set up in the morning and to clean up at the end of the night. You have to remember that if you're doing anything with the 2nd floor- your stuff has to be carrried up there and back down. $150 was also spent hiring an off duty police officer.

Prior to the day of the party i requested that we do a walk through of the venue the day of the party and made it clear that i didn't want to be responsible for any mess or damages left over from the previous night. So the day of the party we met with lauriel and went over the checklist, inspected the property, and got instructions on how to close the building down. We pointed out the cigarette butts and lemon wedges outside the building and she said she wouldn't ding our deposit for those things. and she pointed out on the list- what people do or don't do that makes them lose their deposit- so that we wouldn't make the same mistakes.

overall the party was a huge success. we had chef smirnov cater it- the food was outstanding and everyone loved the uniqueness of the venue. and a few days after the party we received a check for $700 - our deposit was returned in full! i think because of the reviews online about the venue- we had anticipated having a bad experience as well. But we had a positive experience and i was happy with the way everything turned out.

Thank you! That's reassuring, I've been avoiding touring it because I heard such terrible things!

If the chaircovers are still available, I am definitely interested.  I have PM'ed you as well!  The venue sounds interesting also, glad it was a success!
