Inexpensive Wedding Venues in Houston

Hello Knotties,

I am in desperate need of your help!  I am newly engaged and in search of a very inexpensive venue for our ceremony and reception.  We are planning a fall wedding (october or november 2013) for aprx. 75 guests.  We are open to afternoon\off peak times.  Our total wedding budget is $5,000 so any information would be so helpful!  Thanks!!

I would suggest that you look into the Heights Fire Station or The Gardens of Bammel Lane but just know that both of those are VERY "do it yourself." If you are not up for that, it might not be worth it.

The Milford House is another option and not so much DIY but you can still bring in outside vendors which is more cost effective, usually.

I'm getting married at Nouveau Antique Art bar and my cost for less than 75 guests was $2600 which includes the venue and an open bar (beer, wine and liquor) on a Saturday night. It also includes the tax and tip so there are no extra costs associated with that fee, which is awesome. Also it's so pretty that you don't really need flowers which was a huge cost saver for me. Keep in mind that figure is from last March so the pricing may have changed.

Finally, for 75 people you could look into restaurants like Maggiano's or Ouisie's Table (where you could get married in their garden outside) or maybe something like Brennen's or the Grove, although I don't know their pricing at all.

Remember that having your wedding on a Friday night or a Sunday afternoon or evening will usually be less expensive than a Saturday evening.

Wow that was a long post. Sorry about that. I was on a pretty strict budget too and have a guest list of 65 so I've done some research into this! HTH!

  • Check out Heather's Glen in Conroe (thats where I am getting married). Their packages include food, wedding cake, dj, minister, etc. I am having 50 people and it is really beautiful inside their chapel. They also have a pretty outdoor wedding spot! :)

Also my sister got married at Ella's Garden in Tomball, check that out!

Or you can try Maggiano's restaurant. They have nice rooms to rent upstairs!

  • Brady's Landing is also a good option.
  • Im probably going to book rose garden wedding centre i got a price of 4500 for 40 people and it includes everything where all we would literally have to do is show up. And the lady seems pretty nice... good luck on your search
  • You should take a look at www.TownHallTexas.com. 5 miles east of The Woodlands mall. Rustic/western venue, 10 acres, 3,000sqft barn, 1.5 acre pond - 2 outdoor ceremony sites (1 is located on an island in the middle of the pond (seats up to 150). $6,498 for up to 100($15/ea after 100) guests for all day Saturday or $5,498 for up to 50. They are flexible and can work with you on the rate, etc. Although the hall only seats 150, they have 10 acres and an outdoor reception with DJ/dancing, buffet food line and bar served inside the barn would be amazing! Good luck!
