Is anyone on this board using Designer Destination Weddings and Debra Gullete as your wedding planner? I would like to get some reviews to see if anyone is having a similar experience to mine.

    Yes, i am having more than a hiccup. She didnt put my deposits down on time and I lost my venue. She fails to follow through with vendors and then states that the vendors did not return her call. She out right lied about making an appointment for me at Davids Bridal and then attempted to cover it up. Finally i decided to check with the vendors my self and she became angry and told me i could plan my own wedding. Now she wont give me back by $1000 deposit and i still have nothing comp,eted. Im having to interview new travel agents this weekend to get the ball rolling again. Im frustrated and angry because I was trying to have a July wedding. Thank you for your help. It sounds as if she has a reputation for not being a good planner. Hind sight is 20/20. Wish i knew then, what I know now.

    Did i mention that she is trying to keep a $1000 deposit for only 12 days of work, which accomplished nothing but me getting my wedding dress and i could have done that on my own...

    Do you have a contract with her?  Something you could perhaps look at & see what she is contractually responsible for?  If you do, that may be your saving grace to getting your deposit or some part of it back.
