The best elegant "One Stop Shop" Venues in Houston Texas...?

I'm a highly frustrated first time bride-to-be...Wedding will take place sometime next year (2013). I have changed my wedding date a few times mainly because of being unable to find a venue that fits my vision and of course the budget (less than 10K). The plan is to give myself more time to save money before a deposit/final payment is due. Pretty much my fiance and I are going to foot the bill at this point... DIY. I'm thinking it will be around 150 - 200 people at the wedding including the wedding party.

I have read from reviews that it is much easier to find venues that do everything so you won't have to run all over town, depend on several people for different facets of the wedding, etc.

What I want to know is if there's anyone who can give me input on the best elegant venues that aren't too expensive that offer all inclusive packages for both the wedding and the reception. Being able to have outside catering isn't mandatory but would like the option if it's available.

I have done various web searches and looked here on the knot but if someone has visited or used any of these types of venues for their elegant yet budget friendly wedding, please help! If there are any other DIY budget friendly tips please share.

Thanks!

  • You and I are so in the same boat, its not even funny! Well, I visited the Signature Manor today, and was a little sketchy on the location of the venue. But when I got there, I was please to find that the surroundings around the venue itself were just fine. It sits by itself, away from other stores and clutter. The package they shopped to me today is for about 8400.00 dollars before taxes. After taxes, it comes to be around 12,000 which does go over our 10,000 budget, but includes so much more than the other venues that we visited. It included, the cake, decorations, large ballrooms, your event will be the only one going on at the time, areas for the wedding party to get dressed, alcoholic beverages, and catering of a 3 coarse meal. LED lighting, and a variety of other ins and outs. Try them out, they really work with you. We are currently working with them on the payment plan. We too want to do the deposit, and have time to raise the other money. They do where you can pay every other month. Good luck.

<div>Thank you SO much for the information! I will definitely have to check them out. One of my concerns I failed to mention was also the location of the venue in regards to what immediately surrounds it. Thanks again...! </div><div><img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>
  • Not sure what area you are wanting but Bentwater Yacht Club in Conroe I am pretty sure in that range and it is gorgeous, also Heights Firestation is very DIY and there have been some really pretty weddings there
  • My good friend got married at Ashlynn Manor in Magnolia. Not sure if it's in your budget, but I think they're fairly reasonable. They took care of everything for her... I believe cake & dj were included in her package. I thought it was a beautiful place, just as pretty & nice in person as it is in the pictures online.
  • You might try Coles Country, La Tranquila Ranch,.

The lowest price for Ashlynn Mannor for 100 people is about 9K
  • Lindsay Lakes in Cypress has a beautiful setting and is handling most of the details. They are very easy to work with, professional, and communication is a plus. We have not been disappointed with their "preferred vendors" either. Location is 290 and Mueschke Rd.
