Texas-Houston

Venue

Hey Ladies...

I need help.  i just got engaged and have been told by everyone that I need to find the venue first since the good ones go fast.  I loved, loved loved, the Bell Tower on 34th, BUT, my fiancee saya that he knows for a fact that the owner, Roger, was one of the owners of the place that took all those bride's money a couple of years ago.  I told him there was no way, but he says that he knows this as fact and will not do business with the guy.  Is there any other Italian style venue in Houston/West Houston that has class?

The first thing that comes ot mind is Tuscany Villa, but it is in Katy. I'm not sure how far west you want to go.

Thank you, I have heard of The Tuscany villa from a few different people now.  I have an appointment and will let you know.

I'm not too sure exactly what Italian-style is, but I really liked:

    -Paraiso Maravilla
    -Vargo's
    -Brennan's
    -Chateau Polonez
    -Masraff's

I ended up not booking at any of those because they couldn't accommodate my wedding size and some were just out of my price range, but GOOD LUCK!

I am wary of bell tower, plus they're too pricey, my friend got a quote recently for $14K on a Friday night. Your fiance is right about the owners (former Tuscan of Garden Oaks) and they left 60 couples displaced and high & dry. Here's a link: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-tuscany-houston

I suggest Crystal Ballroom at the Rice: http://www.crystalballhouston.com/ since they have more reasonable prices and reviews.

We're getting married at Agave Road on 11.05.10. It's located in Katy just off I-10.

It has more a Mexican feel then Italian but you might like it. When I was looking for a venue, I was looking for someing non-traditional as well. When your there it almost feels like your having a destination wedding.  I have all of there pricing information & packeges. I can email it to you if you like, just PM me you email address.

    Good Luck!! ~Kim

Also, might want to check out the Gallery.  it's near intersection of Richmond and Buffalo Speedway.  You pay for the rental and get to bring in your own caterer, so you can cut costs there.
