Engagement picture locations

We are looking for locations that we can take outside shots in the Houston area. We have our photographer booked for March 26th. Does anyone know of any nice outdoor locations?   My fiance' loves nice stairwells, staircases.. any suggestions. We live in Kingwood, our Photographer is in Texas city. She has no idea where local things are. We were originally thinking Galveston, but would LOVE suggestions. Thanks.

    I really like Herman Park, Discovery Green & Rice University. The parks offer a lot of great options and Rice univeristy is really pretty.

    Jones Plaza and the Heights area are also a couple other options

    We got some great shots with the skyline in the background along Alan Parkway. Also, Discovery Green, and that little park/reflection pool by City Hall.
