Catholic Churches

Can anyone recommend a Catholic church that will marry non members and that isn't too expensive?  A smaller church would be ideal since we are not having a huge wedding.  I'm new to the area and I am unfamiliar with local churches.

I think many of them will do it, but you should probably contact them and start the process.  They generally require 6 months preparation.  Also, if you have the time, you should register at a parish.  The fee is usually discounted if you are a registered parishioner.  Do your parents or does his parents attend a church here?  They would also be able to get a discount.  I guess it just depends on what you need/are looking for.  You may want to just try calling around.

You can get married at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church even if you're not a registered member. Weddings are scheduled on Saturday at set times of 10:30 AM, 2 PM, & 7 PM.  Rehearsals are scheduled the evening before date of wedding. Call the marriage coordinator at 713-667-9111, it's located at Buffalo Speedway.

What area are you looking for, because I know that Guadalupe catholic church allows non members to marry there and they dont require any prep classes? But that church is located on the south side of downtown.

Thank you for the advice and reccomendations!  His parent's church is not in the Houston area and I'm not catholic so we are sort of at a loss.  Thank you again and I will look into those churches!

You may also want to try Christ the King Catholic Church.  I got married in that church and it is GORGEOUS, with white marble decor and wooden pews.  They are off of N. Main St., near Spanish Flower.

Annunciation Catholic Church downtown, I had my wedding there and it is gorgeous and only $500 I think to get married there

Holy Rosary and St Vincent de Paul are others that we looked into as well. Most catholic churches require you to be a member for at least 6 months prior to even booking it, good luck!!
