Veil Purchase

Just wanted to share that I searched several bridal stores all over the city to find a nice veil at a reasonable cost. I found the one on Harwin Drive. Not some place you normally think of for wedding stuff. I walked out the door with it. I did not have to order it and wait. Granted the veils in the store were not on display and were in a jumbled mess on shelves but the lady in the store knew her inventory and pulled out ones that matched my preferences.

I must admit I was hesitant about Harwin at first too, but ended up buying all my bridesmaids dresses there for only $71 each and they are gorgeous!

okay so what was the store?  Did you find any stores on Harwin with nice bridal dresses? I am still thinking of going on Harwin for a dress.  Thanks

I suggest TY Trading - 6875 Harwin Drive Houston, TX 77036-2246 - (713) 978-7901. They have plenty of wedding gowns, you should ask for assistance right away, the dresses are crammed on the rack, it's hard to find a size by yourself, the prices I saw were $199-300, they have plenty of strapless, a few halter and 1-2 with sheer sleeves. This store carries shoes, bridesmaid dresses, formal gowns, all ages for women's dresses (my mom bought her dress there for $120), baby shower stuff, centerpieces, fantasy earrings and some shoes. They have tiaras and veils behind the counter too. It's jam packed of stuff so be ready and have patience

Thanks so much loop! My only thing is that I like certain designers (not high end or anything) so I am concerned that the dresses on Harwin will be cheap looking.  I like Mary's and eden and impression dresses.  These are not expensive brands or anything but I wanted to find a place with variety.  Thanks for the info though. I will try them.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to go veil shopping there. The one I like at the bridal shop is trying to charge me about $300 and I'm not spending that on a simple veil.

Another great place to look for veils:  http://www.occanseydesigns.com/. Really inexpensive compared to stores and you can customize.

I suggest Ebay too, I saw a fingertip length veil for $19.

Also, knot classifieds, sometimes knotties have inexpensive veils for sale.
