Reception/Party Venue

Having my actual wedding in Las Vegas with a reception there.

HOWEVER, we want to have a reception/party back in Houston for friends that could not make the Las Vegas affair.

need something for 100 people or less and wont break my budget.
Prefeably in the Spring/Cypress/ The Woodlands area. OR for something different in the Galleria area.

Since most of our budget is being spent on the Vegas side, I need a reasonably priced venue.

not sure on the $$$ side but i know my cousins paid for it themselves so it couldnt have been TOO much....   they have multiple options depending on guest count... Northwest Forest Conference center off Telge in Cypress is pretty neat.

Chateau Crystale has their Remington ballroom, 100 guests, their prices are good

I am getting married at the Chateau Crystale.  They do have very good prices.  They are willing to work with you.  What is your budget?

Now my fiancee has suggested something else.
NOT having a wedding reception at all in Las Vegas and Then having a reception in Houston a week or so later?

What is the etiquette on this?
