Touristy Houston

We just got back from the Air Show at Ellington Airport. We had a great time even though it was so hot out! Have any of you ladies ever been?

Is it the Battleship Texas that is near the San Jacinto monument? We have never been. Is it a neat place to visit?

Yes, the Battleship is next to the monument. It is pretty entertaining. Last time I went you got to see a lot of the boat which is nice. The best time to go see it though is in April. On April 16 they will have a huge festival there complete with the battle of San Jacinto reenactment and everything.

But it is nice. Lots of good places to picnic and such.
And now we are as one

Thanks! I will have to mark that down for April. Sounds like tons of fun!

Yep. Airshow was a tradition for me and my dad to go to every year. I love the planes... I live right by Ellington :o)

    I'm glad you had fun.

As far as Battleship Texas, I've only been out there once and it was a school trip when I was in elementary (I'm from Austin, so we didn't go every year like a lot of the kids from here do).
