Yacht Club Wedding?

Hi! My fiancee and I are looking into having our wedding at a local yacht club, either Houston Yacht Club or Lakewood Yacht Club (both in Southeast Houston). Does anyone have any experience with either of these venues?

My fiancee and I are actually getting married at the Houston Yacht Club this November! It's a beautiful place. Cost wise is $3,000 with a $500 deposit (they do not require it upfront that same day). This includes the venue and food. They do have linens but they are only white so we decided to purchase our own to fit our color scheme. The lady you would need to talk to is Sandy. Very nice people!

My husband and I went to a wedding at the Houston Yacht Club.  It was very nice and I have to say, it was nice change of pace from some of the other weddings we normally attend.

I'm getting married at Lakewood Yacht Club.  I had the same question you had before I made my decision.  I chose Lakewood because it holds more people, has better parking, and has a dedicated staff which means less chances of hiring off the street.  So far I am 100% happy with my choice.
