Venue Under $250

My fiance and I are eloping but still want to do something nice. We are trying to keep it very low cost. A close friend of ours is making me a custom dress for free and a friend who is trying to build his photography portfolio has offerered to take pictures for us. My church pastor is marrying us and my best friend is doing my bridal bouquet along with my hair and makeup. I have everything I want but a perfect venue that is inexpensive. 

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What part of town are you in? Do you have any specifics as to where you want the venue to be or the type of venue?

If you aren't opposed to going north, I would suggest Huntsville State Park. Raven's Lodge is available for rent for 250.00 for the entire day. It is right on the state park's lake, has private restrooms, and a complete working kitchen. It would be completely DIY as the park doesn't provide anything but tables, but it is an affordable option.

I'm sorry I don't have more details but there is a YMCA in the Woodlands that has a VERY nice rec room you can rent.  I can't imagine it's very expensive.

Depending on what area you are looking for I know a hotel that has 2 event spaces for $250.00, but it's on the SW . I even have pictures I can email you .

I prefer something outdoors and something that would be really nice for pictures.

You would need to contact Huntsville State Park as that is where the lodge is. I would strongly recommend going there and looking at it before you book anything.

This is a total Hijack, but my MOH actually saw a rock band perform in the center of a public library, during regular hours! So be creative!

I don't know if you found your venue but you can look at Fratelli's off I-10 & Wirt Rd.  They have a banquet room that holds around 100 people (maybe more) for $150.00....it's very nice.  It's roomy, the tables are nicely decorated and they have beautiful chandeliers.  I was just there yesterday.  The food is also delicious and the owner is super nice to work with.  We're having our rehearsal dinner there in March. Good luck!!!

I am excited about Raven Lodge possibly being my wedding/reception venue! What a great price, I hope it is not to good to be true. We are planning to have approximately 50 guests!

Are you allowed to have alcohol?

You're not technically supposed to have alcohol, but I have seen weddings that do and just make sure to have them in plastic cups.
