Just wandering if anyone else noticed that Paraiso Maravilla is now Las Velas.

A friend posted on FB that this was her venue and I was curious about it as I had never heard of it before. When I checked it out I found that there was a management change. Just kind of eerie remembering what all of the TGO/BT brides went through.

    Well, it's new management b/c Stephen wanted to get out of the business.  Some Italian investors have come in and taken over.  There is no need to fear of not honoring current contracts.  There was no financial issues and/or problems.  I know this info, as I'm in the industry and have known this info for at least the past 6 months.  I'm just not crazy about the name....las velas = the candles...meh!

    Well thats good to know. Especially from someone in the industry. 
     Yea the name seemed kind of wierd to me. But I guess some ppl think that anything in spanish/latin sounds romantic.

    I have been looking into Las Velas for our venue also. Trying to get a tour scheduled for this weekend, but they haven't returned my call yet. One thing I did notice on thier new website is that you now have to use thier catering service, which looks expensive.

    I am actually getting married there in May. I knew of the name change but just recently found out what it was changed to. It took me long enough to learn to pronounce Paraiso Maravilla...which I LOVE...to something kinda simple 'Las Velas"

    ugh

    But I love the venue just as much
