Caterer

Hi y'all

We just moved to Houston a few months ago for grad school, but my fiance and I are getting married here in August.  We are having our ceremony and reception at Rice University, but we are having trouble making a decision on a caterer.  They are completely open to working with whomever we choose, but we don't know that many restaurants or anything down here.  Can anyone recommend a caterer who would do something traditionally "Texas" (maybe BBQ or Tex-Mex) but still be affordable?

    Try Gatlin's BBQ.  713-869-4227   1221 W 19th.

    Be sure to tell them you're Rice grad students because the owner, Greg Gatlin, is a Rice graduate.  Tell him his 8th grade history teacher recommended him.

    Great BBQ-had a wonderful review in the Chronicle not too long ago.

    rals catering is very reasonably priced... i wouls do look at his menu he is an awesome guy!
