Weekday, Friday/Sunday, or Saturday?  Daytime or evening?

I think everyone gives the same recommendations:
    - find a place that is DIY/allows outside catering
    - the heights villa smaller room (fits 200) is $4000 for a saturday evening
    - heights fire station
    - community centers/civic clubs
    - some of the lesser known places are fairly inexpensive (to get an idea of what i'm talking about google houston quinceneras for venues)

    GL!

You can try Ashford Oaks it holds up to 275 and is very nice and elegant. Brady's Landing like Ty said or you can even try Chateau Crystale which is Ashford Oaks sister company. I'm going to PM you with more info

I would say Brady's Landing too. I would also consider having it on a friday or sunday.

As for other vendors I would look into C. Baron Photography and Alma's Cakes.

I am using the Monument Inn in Laporte.  No extra charges - they only charge for the food and drinks.  No Bartender fee, or room fees.  And the food is great.  But it is a little out of the way and the decor is "distinctive" and wouldn't work with a lot of color combinations.
