The best vendor I've worked with so far Sallie from Monarch Event Planning. I hired her as my DOC, but she checks up on me montly. She has been a wonderful blessing, its like having a fairy godmother. She gives me many tips, and has helped me with sorting small details and answering all of my questions.
I haven't really explored bakerys, my cake was included as part of the package with our Venue. I am looking forward to the tasting, I really would like a raspberry filling, and buttercream icing.
Ventura's, My consultant Jessica has been a doll since day one. She calls me and has offered great ideas with my alterations and accessories.
Another favorite vendor, my photographer and DJ. Lewis from LG Entertainment was the DJ at my friend's wedding, and when we met with him for the first time-- He was just great. We connected like old friends and understood our likes and dislikes as far as music and lighting goes. Donna from PaperDolls Photography has been wonderful to work with. In FI's words "she's worth every penny." We were in love with our Engagement pictures from the moment we took them. Sometimes I joke that she must have had a magic wand with her, because I can't stop staring at our engagment pictures and my boudior pictures. They just look fabulous!

Most genius favors? Our colors were teal and purple. I wanted to add those colors on our table by using our favors, so I chose to go with M&Ms (who doesn't love them!). Since we were on a budget (and MMs.com is super expensive), I stopped at Michaels everyday after work and got them one bag at a time with a 40% or 50% coupon! I placed the two colors together, mixed them around and placed them in a clear box with a silver ribbon (also at michaels with 50% off coupon).  The end result was exactly what we wanted and we got many compliments! Super simple and budget friendly too.

    C. Baron Photography was without a doubt the best wedding related decision we have made. Photography was our number one priority. I wanted people we could connect with and see my vision for our pictures. Robert and Lisa were exactly what we were looking for. They are not only wonderful to be around, but they found a location for our engagement pictures that was better than anything I could have dreamed up. The pictures were everything that we wanted. I can not express how grateful and amazed that they were able to capture everything I had dreamed up in my mind! I have not even the slightest complaint or disappointment. I am so excited to have them be part of our big day!

Fab ideas so far ladies! But we need even more ideas! Who are the great vendors, share your great ideas and any secrets you learned while planning. Maybe you found a great salon that melted away your planning stress or there's a store or source that isn't normally considered a "wedding venue" where you found some genius inspiration? Keep 'em coming!

Our venue was amazing to work with and it is not a normal wedding venue - Union Station in Minute Maid Park, I think it definitely needs to be advertised more as a great venue, also their catering Aramark was wonderful and the food was delicious and had so many options. Great experience

What I would love to share with my bridal planning sisters:

The best bridal dress shop is Weddings by Debbie.  They were so helpful with the 7 dresses I tried on.  I fell in love with one that was out of my price range but they totally worked over time to find me a dress that was very similiar & my price range.  My consultant made me feel as if I were her only client.  How many vendors can incite that feeling from a client?  Weddings by Debbie can.

My wedding coordinator is absolutely outstanding!  Sally at Monarch Wedding & Event Planning was the best wedding gift I could have ever given myself.  My coordinator has been there from the start.  She eased my fears about children at weddings, she calmed me down when my future MIL tried to change my wedding colors & provided sound advice on how to tactfully "let go" of my cousin the "wedding photographer".

All of this from a vendor who is contracted as a "Day of Coordinator".  Sally has made me realize that my January 2012 wedding will be fabulous.  Her assurance, composure & confidence make her a premium investment & asset to any wedding.

Here is to happy, stress free planning!
