I bought my dress from Davids Bridal here in Houston, TX, had an "alright" experience, but I'm REALLY concerned now after reading all these bad things happening to other people, that I don't want to go back for my bridesmaid's dresses even though DB has the perfect colors that I want for them. I'm very skittish here. I need help on finding a bridal salon that won't cost an arm and a leg for my BM's dresses. Please help me out!!

alfred angelo is pretty great, slightly more expensive than db. nothing is really wrong with using db to buy the dresses. I would however not get the dresses altered there. thats where alot of the issues come from, plus you will pay more for alterations than the actual dresses at db.

I got my dress and BM dresses there. As far as getting dresses they are fine. But I agree, their alterations are very expensive. But they do a good job.

i got my dress at DB, but i plan to have alterations elsewhere, which is what I would suggest.

I bought my bridesmaids dresses from there, they had the best value and were SUPER quick on delivering the dresses. The sales people are kind of random (like they are by no means an expert and don't expect any type of customer service) but as far as bridesmaids dresses, I wouldn't worry about buying those from there.

One of my girls already had her alterations done and it was like $60 -- and she actually had alot to take in a specific area. I can't speak for your bridal gown, but as far as bridesmaids dresses, I didn't have a problem.
