Vendor reviews so far... Photographer, Venue, DJ, Florist

So with the wedding three months away, I figured it wouldn't hurt to post a review up for my experience so far, since I know how much others' input has helped me thus far....

Photography - Christopher Luby - absolutely amazing. Truly. He used to be a customer of mine when I worked at Starbucks long ago and I remember always seeing him working on his photography. Well, we became friends and I ended up hiring him as my photographer - first vendor I booked! The engagement photos came out amazing - it was so easy because he's just so fun to be around!!

Venue (Ceremony/Reception) - Augusta Pines - Susan has been absolutely awesome so far and I really trust her with everything!! The cite is gorgeous and I found I got much more for what we are going to be paying compared to other venues

DJ - Space City Entertainment - My fiance and I are going to be meeting with Jonny sometime soon, but I have to say, I talked with Jonny earlier today for a bit and he was just fantastic! He just came across as being so authentic and invested in his clients, and was explaining how they like to meet with the couple twice to set up the night's agenda completely and so we can really get to know the DJ who will be actually at our wedding. For me, the DJ is going to be the make or break of the night since they're orchestrating everything and Jonny helped put me at ease. Plus, he was totally willing to work with our budget, which is just so helpful!

Florists - I have met with Always Floral and The Blooming Idea at this point. We haven't decided yet, but I will say the both have been just wonderful and so helpful.

Hope this is helpful to any of you who are sitll looking! I know for me, the first place I usually went to was the brides' input and I always thought it was helpful hearing their experiences pre-wedding. :)

I met with both Always Floral and The Blooming Idea and a couple of other florist... Sabrina had great prices, but I felt so much more comfortable with Frances with The Blooming Idea... She was a lot more knowledgeable on the type of flowers we want to use and the look we are going for.  She also has experience doing weddings at my venues.  My FI thought that the comfort level was worth the extra cost.

I've actually met with Sabrina from always floral and Pat from Weddings in Bloom and I kind of have to disagree about Always Floral being the cheapest.  I showed both of them the same idea and Pat was able to give me the cheapest WITHOUT having to compromise on anything.  Sabrina told me my bouquet would be around $275 as is and instead wanted to use hydrangea as "filler" instead of all peonies, but I got all peonies and orchids from Pat for less than $200.  Pat has also been doing this for 20 something years and she basically taught most of the florists out there because she had a school.   Sabrina was still really nice and helpful but I'm very happy with Pat.
