OMFG!!!!

Okay so I am really "P'ed" off right now when it comes to my reception location. I booked MY DREAM PALACE in Spring Texas as it is right down the road from the park I am getting married at and felt I was getting a really good deal.

$4,222- for 5 hour venue, full decorations, Free cake cutting, Center Pieces, Projector Screen and some moore stuff

So I signed my contract after discussing the decoration ideas, layout plan and time slot with the owner. I just recently sent over a Powerpoint that detailed how I wanted the venue set up and the decorations to go.

Long story short I am now being told I have to pay for my decorations at least the ivory items which I clearly stated I wanted during our meeting. I just want simple table skirts and chair covers in ivory since my wedding colors or chocolate brown and persimmon.

Is it legal for her to now to try and charge me for the items? I mean no where did she ever suggest it would be an extra cost for these items till now & I even have paperwork where I gave wrote down the decorations and she didnt even list a price on there.

What should I DO??

Do the chair covers fall under a different category other then decorations, such as linens? If so there may be an extra charge for linens other then bright white if they have to special order them.
But if different linens/ chair covers are not specified anyplace in the contract you have a right to be a little frustrated. Just stress to them that they clearly stated that they would decorate however you want and gave no limitations.
Just breath. Chair covers are not that vital. We all have a vision and some things the guests wont even remember about the wedding. The way the chairs looked is normally one of those things they wont remember.it will all turn out ok.

Okay, so everything is fixed only after I threateded legal action though. And her big excuse was that she got me mixed up with a different client.

    LOL...anothe disaster avoided.

That is so good to hear that everything is sorted out. Unfortunate though you had to threaten them to get what was promised. Now you will be able to have exactly what you envisioned. :)
