BE AT GRB

Just curious,

How was your visit to the BE?

I went today. It was crowded, as to be expected. I got a good deal on tuxes; and I got a better idea of price ranges on DJs and make-up artists, which were two of my main objectives. My Mom and I walked around for about 3 hours, and that was about all I could take. It was convenient, but nothing too spectacular. I could see how it can be very useful to some, and not so useful to others. It just depends on where you are in the planning process.

I went on Saturday and like Angel I was there for about three hours. When I went in December it was much more spectacular to me because I was in the very beginning of the planning process, It did help me getting a better idea for DJ's and photographers.

I was really hoping there would be more florists though. I was rather dissapointed in the few florists that were there. One of the booths that I liked that had the arrangements around it had a new girl and she was unable to answer an of m questions.

But none the less, it was good.

Got tons of info on some venues. Disappointed that there weren't many florists too. I wish some new florists would come to the BE, it's always the same big names.

Got to book my DJ, yay! Chatted with my ceremony musician too and got to listen to a few songs.

    my venue (Pine Forest)
    my dj (LG)
    my photog (Dayna Carroll)
    my florist (Weddings in Bloom)
    my linens people (Distinctive Details)
my cake baker (Edible Designs by Jessie)

    very fun!!

I was there to help one of my friends with her Booth. I had never been to that one before. It was nuts! According to the vendors, this BE wasnt as busy as it has been in the past.

I went on Saturday as well for about 3 hours. My main objectives were to find DJ and Photographer. It was so overwhelming, but I did end up choosing a photographer. I am also now very tempted to book the Divisi string quartet and a photobooth. I also got a nice deal for tux rentals at Al's Formal Wear.

SB Image Studios. Their display was gorgeous, and their package was the best deal I found at the BE.

I am also dying to use the Divisi String Quartet, but I don't know if I can afford it. Same with having a photobooth. The BE was too tempting!
