Heights Fire Station

Question-i was reading the contract for this venue and i noticed it says the heights is a DRYcounty!!! anyone know if that means no alcohol for the reception??? (i know its a long shot and all b/c i know dry means no alcohol BUT hoping maybe someone knows more info)

    STBMrsMartin had her reception there and they had alcohol. I'm not sure what they mean by the heights as a dry county since "the heights" is in Harris and it is by no means dry.

    This just means you can not sell your alcohol at the venue. It has to be free, NO CASH bar.

    We had plenty of alcohol and drunk people at the reception. Tongue out

    oh goodie! Im so going to have it there then! It looks amazing and is VERY cost efficient! I am also trying to find a church/chapel to have the ceremony in the heigths area.

    STBMrsMartin- How many ppl attended and was there enough room?

    We had about 150 people at our reception. We had most of our guest up stairs, but some downstairs. They were all over the place. It wasn't cramped and we had a great time!

    Finding a chapel that allows non members around the Heights was pretty difficult for me to find. I would suggest looking downtown and the galleria area since the heights' choices are limited.

    We looked into River Oaks Baptist Church it was very quaint and nice and not too far from the Heights area. We went with Second Baptist because my inlaws were members there.
