Cake Recommendations

I am currently working on finding a bakery for the cake.  The wedding is in Newport so I am hoping to stay as close as I can to my venue.  I contacted Scrumptions but would like a few more options.  TIA!

I met with Sin, Scrumptious, Something Different Cake Couture and my absolute favorite is Creative Cake Company in Newport, R.I Karen is an absolutely talented cake decorator and baker. Her cakes were moist and absolutely delicious. The secret to her fondant cakes is that they are made fresh and not days in advance. Her buttercream is the real deal - light airy and subtle sweetness. Best part is she is based in Newport. Btw she is British so she has a charming accent to boot!

Brideweb- Thanks for the suggestion but I would rather have a cake, it's the traditional side of me.

RoyalOrient- I spoke with Karen today and I really liked her!  She is going to prepare a bunch of cake samples for me to pick up because I don't have time for a consulation while I am in Newport this weekend.  Thanks!

Tried Scrumptions and Creative Cake and they were both extremely expensive in the $800-$1k range for a 75 person cake. Just ordered from Its My Party in Newport for the same cake I asked the two above for around $300. Amazing!! I will be ordering cupcakes for my Bridal Shower and Birthday!!

AmyLydia - no problem! I hope you enjoy them. I didn't book her for our wedding cake as we are having a dessert buffet but we love her to do the groom's cake and my bridal shower. She is so worth it!

I looked at a couple including Sins and Scrumption and actually am going with The Bakery Boutique: https://hubspot.my.salesforce.com/a0E70000005qNiu  They are in Smithfield, going towards N. Providence.

I loved the owner Deana and they were the best tasting cakes!
