RSVP Guest Quote - Wording help needed!

Hi ladies!

Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend!

We are in the process of finalizing our invitation wording (a BIG thank you to everyone on The Knot who have helped me get this far, if not for you... I'd be sending out blank invites lol).  I have one last question...

FH and I are asking guests to send back a small quote or wish with their RSVP that we'll be incorporating into our Wedding favors.  The quote or wish will be visible for everyone that gets a Wedding favor and I'm having difficulty coming up with the correct wording.

So far, I have:

"The new Mr. and Mrs. XXX ask you to share a quote, note or well wish for their Wedding day in filling out the enclosed ?.  Your wish will be enjoyed by fellow guests on their Wedding day.".

I'm not happy at all with how this reads but am at an absolute loss and would love any help that could be offered!! Thank you!!!

I've also posted on the Stationary board but wanted to put this out for my RI Knot buddies as well :)

Are you enclosing like a post card or note card with it? (Trying to fill in the blank where you have that question mark.) Also I'm confused about whether they are on the favors or will be posted near the favors or something else entirely?? Here is something generic (below) but am happy to help modify it after.

And, you're not the new Mr. and Mrs. yet, so I'd scratch that part if it's going in your invitation. I'd say:

We look forward to celebrating with you! Please take a moment to share a quote, note or well wish for our wedding day. We will display these for all of our guests to enjoy.

Or, if you prefer keeping it in third person (I can't remember; was the trolley tour part in first or third person? Whichever it is, I'd keep it the same.)

(First name) and (first name) look forward to celebrating with you! Please take a moment to share a quote, note or well wish for the happy couple's wedding day. They will display these for all of their guests to enjoy.

    Thanks Kristen!

The wishes/notes will actually be on the favors :)  I've copied the final wording for the trolley tour below...

Thanks so much for your wording suggestions!  In your 2nd option (3rd party) should my name or FH's be displayed first?

You are invited to join fellow guests on a forty-five minute narrated scenic tour of Newport following the ceremony.  Tour bus transportation will be available for boarding immediately following the ceremony, and will escort you back to *Church* at conclusion of your tour. At conclusion of your tour, please join the new Mr. and Mrs. X for cocktails followed by an evening of dinner and dancing.

The bride's name always comes first on wedding stuff. One of the perks of being a bride. Laughing

Hey, can I suggest a change to your trolley wording or is it too late? Should be forty-five-minute (hyphenated). I'd also remove the comma between "ceremony" and "and." Also I might change one of the "following the" instances to after. Clearly not the end of the world if it's already been sent to the printer! :)

You've got me curious about what you're doing for favors!!

Thanks Kristen!! Definately not too late and I've just copied your updates so I can forward them along to our stationery contact, thank you!!  It definately helps having another set of eyes to look over things :)

I'm soo excited about our favors!!  You're the first knottie I've shared it with...would love to hear what you think :)

As we have a lot of family and friends overseas I wanted something that I could share with those that couldn't be with us and a nice keepsake of the day for people to take home so I got to thinking and I thought... a wedding guest book captures names and well wishes for the Bride and Groom to keep... maybe we could design one for the guests! I reached out  to a couple of companies and got a great price on a photo book which I started to design and will finish as the RSVP's come in.

The photo book is filled with pictures of FH and I, the church, the reception and includes pictures of our Wedding party.  On the front cover it says "A compilation of quotes, thoughts and well wishes from the family and friends of the new Mr. and Mrs. XXXX" and our Wedding date at the bottom.

It's been a little time consuming lol but I love the idea and think our guests will really enjoy it, particuarly people we can send it to that can't join us as they have been able to contribute their wishes without needing to physically be there :)
