Vendor Reviews #2 6/20/09

Videographer: John Wedding Stories- A+ From the moment I met John I knew I would love working with him. His work is incredible and his prices are amazing. He had his assistant stay the entire night at no extra charge! The day of John was so sweet to work with, you didn't even know that he was there! We haven't seen the video yet, but just seeing his work I know that we are in good hands. Florist: Golden Gate Studios- A Definitely a tough decision, we couldn't decide between golden gate and florals by alisa. Both gave us beautiful write-ups, but Jay gave us more for our money (he gave us half tall table floral arrangements). The day of the wedding: the flowers blew me away, I could not picture what he created, they were stunning! He incorporated all the flowers I wanted, the ceremony urns were overflowing! It looked like I spent a ton of money on them! People could not believe his work, everyone loved them! Justice of the Peace: Danna Spencer A++++ One of our favorite vendors by far! Danna was recommended to us by the regatta. From the minute I talked to Danna on the phone I just loved her personality. My husband was actually so excited for the ceremony! We met with her over coffee, and went over how we met, our story, etc. Danna did such a great job writing up our story! The day of- she made a really intense situation light as she told our story making us and our guests laugh. She definitely incorporates a lot of humor which helps- especially when you are so nervous, it felt good to laugh and relax. Again, all our guests said she just made the ceremony and was incredible. She's awesome! Tuxedos: Viking Rentals A+ Family owned, husband and wife team. They were adorable and such a pleasure to work with. Also, they were cheaper then men's warehouse. They were so flexible coordinating everything with us, since we were out of town and my husband was actually out of the country until 2 weeks before the wedding. They even offered to pick up the tuxedos at the hotel on Monday, since they new we were heading home on Sunday and they're closed. My husband said that they were great to work with, and the tuxes looked wonderful. Shuttle: Burt Access Tours (401)842-0777- A They were so reasonable $94.00/hr/van 14 passengers with no hourly limit. The vans were white, clean, nice looking. Burt was great to work with, we had them bring guests to the wedding, they did multiple trips, as well as back after wedding and to an after hours bar. They even picked us up from the bar at 1am! The night of our rehearsal dinner my husband called them to see if they could pick us up since all the cabs were booked! They were so fleixble and even came to get us that night! Great to work with Limo: Leisure limo A www.leisurelimo.net Mike was great to work with. They charged us $390 including tip and gratutity for 3 hours. The limo showed up on time, clean, the driver was so nice. Great to work with. Invitiations: Costco A+ We got our invitations from costco.com, 100 invites/thank-you cards for $250.00-you can't beat that! The invitations had a beach thene with seashells/starfish- they were beautiful, came with lined envelopes, inner envelopes, raised printed return adresses- and they came within 7days! They even called me to verify/confirm my order since I had used two different fonts Cake: Fun Cakes www.cakerental.com A+ My husband and I saw fun cakes on the rachel ray show- it was showing viewers how to cut back on wedding costs. So of course, my husband insists we get this fake cake. We looked into the company online and it was very reputable with good reviews. The staff was great to work with, they called me to confirm my order, answered all of my e-mails immediately. The cake arrived when they said it would, and it looked amazing! You could not tell that it was fake! It has a hidden compartment where you put a real slice of cake for when you cut it. No one knew it was fake- please let me knwo if you would like to see pics! It really was incredible and 1/4 the price! Sheet Cakes: BJ's- B We ordered plain sheet cakes from BJ's, it was $15 for 48 slices/can't beat that. We wanted to order sheet cakes with a filling, although they failed to tell us that the full size sheet cakes came w/o fillings. The cake was okay- nothing amazing, people said they liked it- I am not a huge cake person so I thought it was okay.
