changing name

I need to change my name legally on all my important documents. Does anyone know where I can get one of those kits that has all the paperwork I need?TIA

I think you can order one of the kits from The Knot. If you google Name Change Kit, a bunch of different online ones come up, too. I didn't get a kit, I've just been figuring it out as I go. I have lots of detailed instructions and links to the forms for RI in my bio, on the Name Change page. Good luck!

Don't waste your money on the kits. The first thing is to change at SS office then your license and car stuff. Credit cards dont ask for any proof (kinda scary) Just get yourself at least 2 copies of the certificate just in case...most places like the bank just made a copy.

I agree with Melinda. I did the same thing as her, so take it from two Melinda's, lol, don't waste your money on the kits. :-)
