Atlantic Beach Club for RD??

Hi Gals,     I was wondering if I could get some input about Atlantic Beach Club for a Rehearsal Dinner location.  I know it comes recommended, and I was wondering if I could hear some more info.  I'm concerned that it could get a bit rowdy in the lounge area (with the beach-side bar right outside).  I was also told that if I reserved the lounge, non-guests could come in to the bar.  Has this been an issue with you guys?  Or did you guys have the RD in the Sunday brunch room?  Was parking an issue?  FYI-we are not sure on numbers yet, but probably 30-60...Thank you soo much!

I am not sure how much help I will be but my rehearsal dinner at ABC will be on a Thursday night so there generally isn't much of a crowd outside or with the live bands playing. We are going to be outside under the tent since we are having the New England Lobster Bake. I am not concerned about parking since we are again on a Thursday night plus there are the hotels across the street that we have room blocks at so our guests could also park there and we are going to have approx. 30 people at the dinner. If your concerned with parking, maybe suggest to your guests that they should carpool. You might need to give your guests something to identify that they are with your party when they go to the bar to get drinks, or better yet, have the ABC waitstaff serve you the drinks so you dont have to worry about it.We are all for a laid back rehearsal dinner so even if mine was on a Friday night I wouldn't be too concerned with the other people at the restaurant either outside or inside. ABC does rehearsal dinners ALL the time, and I have never heard one compliant during a rehearsal dinner so I think you'll be ok.HTH !

We chose inside. Our RD was a Thursday night so I didn't have to worry about bands playing and people really hanging out. I would always do inside anyway..in case of rain those awnings are not going to cover you if its windy. We had drinks outside then moved inside to a private room with the fireplace. When you walk in the main door just plast the hostess on the right. No issues with parking but alot of people car pooled from the actual rehersal to there. Food was really good. Lots of raves. We did the Lobster bake and with that you also get a choice of sirloin or a veggie meal. The only thing about the veggie pasta was that it had ALOT of cheese sauce and I wasn't crazy for creamy cheese sauce to begin with but the other vegetarians didn't mind it. We had 32 people total, plenty of room. Service was good. We also did beer/wine/soda per consumption. HTH! any other questions just let me know!

thanks guys.  The FI, his parents, and I are going to check out ABC on Saturday.  We will probably stick around for dinner to get an idea of the feel on a weekend night.  Our rehearsal dinner will be on a Friday night. Thanks for the feedback!  I'm glad to hear that there have not been many complaints about ABC on the boards.

that is great ! Keep in mind though that this weekend is a holiday weekend so it may be a little bit more crazy than usual there, etc. ... just a thought to keep that in the back of your mind since your not going to be having your rehearsal dinner on a long holiday weekend.ohh and I just noticed that you are getting married the day after me... haha ! I had my rehearsal dinner there on Sunday July 19th and it was super crazy!!!  The outside bar was packed and they had a band playing...  The food was great though... I don't know if that helps

beachbride13---that is great that we are getting married a day apart!  It is such a beautiful time of year.felrob---did you have your RD in the lounge or in the private room area (Sunday brunch buffet room).  Did the rowdiness in the outside bar really put a damper on the party, or was it okay??Thanks!
