Reviews of Officers Club in Newport, RI

I am planning on getting married at the Officers Club and the site is beautiful but I am a little worried about the food I have heard mixed things.. anyone get married there and have any feeback.. also its a big space any advice on decorating to make a big space more intimate?? Thanks in advance for your help!!

    The venue is beautiful but the kitchen is not the cleanest and the food isnt that great.I worked here and ended up leaving becouse it wasnt a good environment.If you are looking for a venue on the water theres the hyatt regancy right around the cornner of belle mer right next door or if you go into fall river there is the fall river country club were i got marred and everyting was reasonable and the food was amazing!!
