Freaking!

I need some suggestions.  I am getting married outside next Friday and I am having a nervous breakdown because I have no plan B.  We aren't having a reception after so I don't have a facility to use as a back up.  I did email the Towers because we had originally booked with them and paid the deposit.  I was hoping if there are no other events going on maybe Kate would let us get in there for 1/2 hour ceremony and some pictures because I do have a videographer and photographer.

Can anyone think of any other suggestion in the Narraganseet/South County area?  I would try South Ferry Church but I don't really want to have to pay for a location if we don't end up needing it.

Thanks in advance for any help...

The weather looks okay for that day aside from some scattered thunderstorms... I would take your chances with the current site and just invest in some very large black umbrellas and/or some towels to wipe off the seats if they get wet before.
I know it's not ideal to have rain on your wedding but it's actually considered good luck for the bride and groom... Besides, it can make for some really unique pictures with the umbrellas and everything.
Sorry, can't help on the location recs though.
    Good luck!!!

Where are you getting married and how many people are attending?  I grew up in that town and I am sure I can help you figure something out.  By the way, I think South Ferry Church is very inexpensive but it has been years since family members have used it so not positive.

Where are you getting married? Can you erect a tent, at least over you guysm, the bridal party and the officiant?

And I hate to be a bummer, but there is a wedding on July 31st at the towers, because I am going to look at it before the wedding all set up

I'm getting married at the Pt. Judith Lighthouse on 7/23...unfortunately the Coast Guard does not allow chairs, tents, etc.  I am sure we could bring umbrellas.  I will only have 7 people at the wedding  plus 4 vendors.

You can rent the gazebo near the Towers for $30 (at least that's what it was last year) Here's a bio with pics: http://www.theknot.com/co_profileview.htm?profilename=GansettGirl06&MsdVisit=1 You'd call the town of Narragansett Parks & Rec Department.

Or, you can rent the URI botanical gardens and you can erect a tent there. It wouldn't be too costly for a tent without sides. The cost is $300 with access to restroom facilities and electricity (for PA, music, etc.). Contact is gtorphy (at) mail.uri.edu.

As of last year when I was looking into it, South Ferry Church costs $500 for either the entire morning or entire afternoon.

EDIT: I just saw your post about how few people you are having - I'll bet you could definitely all fit under the gazebo!

If there are only 7 people going to the wedding, then maybe get a small tent- or just bring the big umbrellas.

I was going to suggest the gazebo too.  If only seven people are going, you would all fit and it is quite pretty there...between the towers and the beach.

I don't have an alternate suggestion but just wanted to congratulate you Jen and wish you best wishes next week!  I'll do a sun dance for you. We did our pictures at the lighthouse. It was gorgeous.
