Venue help!

I'm currently booked to have my wedding reception at Wannmoisett Country Club. It is a really gorgeous place but I'm afraid it may be too big of a place for the numer of guests. We have a guest list of 85 people, the room holds close to 250 people. I'm extremely worried that the room will look empty if not all 85 people come. While there is a very small chance of that happening it can still happen.

I want to try to find another beautiful spot that would comfortably hold 85 people or less. I'm having the worst luck finding anything. Please help me with some suggestions. I'm terribly sad to even consider searching for another venue. I'd prefabably like to keep it in the Providence area but it isn't completely necessary.

Thanks for any help :)

Wlell, can you keep it where you are -- and put up like a divider? To make the room smaller.

The hotle providence is nice for a smaller wedding...
    The renasissance has smaller rooms

You have a lot of options for 85 people....
    Restaurants, etc work too.

Do you want an all-inclusive place like a country club/hotel or are you also interested in venues where you can bring in a caterer? I have the same size crowd and lots of info on the latter, but if you like the all-inclusive, the Crowne Plaza has very good packages (I was really surprised when I saw them at how reasonable they were) and rooms that will easily accommodate your size without feeling overwhelming. The Rotunda room is gorgeous and might fit your crowd; not sure with the dance floor.

Page me if you want any info or pics of The Towers, Kinney Bungalow, Mt. Hope Farm barn, Easton's Beach Rotunda (though we nixed that because it was too big for us) RWP Casino, RWP botanical center, Slater Mill, The Meeting House or Whispering Pines (which is the only all-inclusive on that list).

It actually won't let me send you a message :(

If you can just email me the info, that'd be great.

    kaylakmartins at gmail.com! Thanks again!

Whether its all inculvise or not, doesn't really matter to me at least as long as I can find a smaller place that would be more accomdating to my size.

I'm using Waterman Grille as a rehersal dinner spot, but the room holds up to 120 and it is gorgeous I've seen it set up for a few weddings, and the food is amazing!
