Hi there - sorry I didn't reply to your questions on the Village Inn post. I don't check back here much and randomly remembered I responded to something!
Anyhow, Alyson is super nice. She actually knew my husband from her past job. But, I would not discount Jim. He's been doing this a lonnng time and really knows what he's doing. If he think something won't work, he'll tell you.
Rev Mary Powers was our officiant. She gave us tons of materials to choose from to shape our own ceremony (DH is Catholic, I'm Jewish)
www.revmep.com No rain plan except I bought some big umbrellas. I think some of the BEST wedding pictures are ones in overcast or rain - I hate that we're squinting from the sun. And my faves (besides the ones around the pine in my backyard) are the night ones which we took around 10 pm in the street. If it was going to be torrential downpours I probably would have figured out something that week OR done them all under the Towers. Get a good photog who knows the area or preps to find good spots in advance of you showing up.
If you have any other questions, let me know - I'll try and check back or you can page me...someone I'm sure will get my attention if I don't check back.
