Officiant recs

I know this topic comes up fairly often, but I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for either a justice of the peace or a non-denominational minister. A friend of ours was going to be our officiant, but he had to back out due to a possible long distance move.

My fiance and I are having a bit of a disagreement on this now that we have to choose someone, because he would like our ceremony to be completely non-religious (we were raised in different religions and both are not practicing on top of that), but I worry that if we go with a justice of the peace, we'll end up with a ceremony that's just focused on the legality of the ceremony.

I think we would both just like to have something warm, light hearted, and personal to us. I'm not looking for strong spirituality necessarily, but I would just like it to be personal.

One of my biggest fears with our wedding is that we'll end up with a horrible officiant. Our good friends got married under the worst possible minister - it was a nightmare and now I'm having nightmares about their nightmare.

You can try Lloyd Garriepy 762-0200. We were impressed with him when he was at my cousin's wedding so we decided to use him as well.

You can try Michael Kelleher.  I am using him in October.  He is warm and has a great sense of humor.  Made us both feel comfortable.
