less than 2 months and freaking out- am I forgetting anything

Married Ladies help! I am having a freak out that I am forgetting something.On top of it my nana is terminally ill so after work every night I am going to the nursing home to be with her- and I feel like I am forgetting to do things I should be out doing.


What's Done:
Everything is booked (i think)
reception venue
caterer
dj
trolley
hotel rooms
photographer
cake
DOC
flowers
Am I missing anything else big? We aren't doing video...

The rehearsal is scheduled and the dinner planned- I have to get invites out.

Here are my DIY projects I have to get done:
Framed photos for generation table
Cover 24" letters in fabric
Finish painting table #'s
Tie up all the flip flops I bought and size them with tags
clean all my gold chargers
Put together OOT bags


I have no idea what I am doing for placecards.I wanted to do something fun and unique but I am OUT of ideas- and think I am going to throw in the towel and just do plain white cards. I wanted to put them all on trays that were covered in faux pearls- but I don't know if that is going to be time consuming/pricey...

I don't think we are doing favors orther than the flip flops and my mom wants to put some jars of jordan almonds near the bar (god forbid this italian doesn't have the jordan almonds)

Obvisously as it gets closer we have the seating chart to figure out and the timelines

What am I missing!

    I've already had one trial with both

    I have another trial tentatively schedule Friday depending on what happens with my nana. and then another hair trial during my final dress fitting.

    you sound like me - constantly going through everything!! :)
    i make massive to do lists and notes and then when i go through them all they are all the same -
    i am trying to just have a good summer but it's hard! so much to do!
    i wanted to look for a new job too so i wouldnt have to come back here after the wedding- yea right. like i have the time!
    our july is kinda quiet - better than june was so i'm hoping we can get a lot done.
    august is going to be a nightmare.
     once it comes- thats it all the way to the wedding (9/14)

    Yes officant is booked!! But I have no idea if i am supposed to send tem a wedding invite- and invitie them to our wedding!?!!?!

    I am freaking out a bit beacuse we are at the mercy of my nana and so no one is in WEDDING mode, and then we will have funeral and stuff this weekend or next week.

    Then i have my best friends wedding to go to, and then my bachelorette is teh 28th

    then i feel like its crunch time.!!!

    You seem to be fine.

    I didn't send my priest an invite I told him verbally.

    It doesn't seem like you are missing anything. Do you have any FG or RB? Do you have everything for them and the WP?

    it just feels like there is always something big missing.
    I have my WP gifts, but I need to wrap the gifts, so maybe i will do that sometime soon.

    I sent my JP an invite, she declined, which I've read that most will unless they are a close family friend, but it's still a nice gesture.
    I wouldn't stress too much about the placecards or anything "extra" that you are trying to do. I've heard from many brides that guests don't even notice/care about the small extra details that brides do.
    Are you set with appointments for alterations?
    My date is the same as yours :)

    You sound like you are on top of things. What about the groomsmen and their tuxes? Is that all set? As for the cards, you could do this. Just buy loose faux pearls or pearl necklaces and use the plain white or metallic white cards with the names printed on them. Simple and fairly inexpensive.

    Are you having favors? I dont think i saw it on the list do you gave all your ceremony stuff? I.e. unity candle if you are doing it. Reception items i.e., card box cake cutting stuff etc.? Trust me you sre going to drive yourself crazy if you are forgetting something i am sure you probably have everything in order. The last things are probably going to be your place cards snd seating chart. I am a month out snd i have been trying to tell myself not to freak out because i have everything. Good luck!

    Moni- That is the exact Idea I saw but I can't figure what to do about a bottom plexi glass piece or something to put the pearls in. I was thinking I can buy a few bags of faux pearls for under 20 bucks, but no idea what to put them in--on a tray or something?
    If anyone has any ideas let me know!

    I honestly didn't think about a cake server at all, but my mom bought us one and gave it to me at my shower... and we aren't doing anything like a sand ceremony or unity candle at the ceremony so I don't have to worry about that!phew

    I think we are just doing the flip flops as favors for the ladies.

    I would check Michaels, Target or Walmart for clear or silver trays.  If its going to be covered like the picture, I wouldn't be too concerned on how nice looking the tray is.  Iparty may even have something and with all of the 4th stuff you should be able to find something and if you can't find the color you want, spraypaint a colored one!!

    Also, if you can---if you find ones you like but they are pricey, just return them after the wedding if they don't get damaged.

    It seems like you have everything together.  What I did is I went through each part of the day and made a 'timeline' kind of list and that helped me make sure I had taken care of everything.

    day before - rehearsal, RD, WP gifts, parent gifts, speeches?

    morning of - make-up/hair, dress, accessories, shoes, any personal time with anyone?, gifts?, photographer, flowers, confirm w/ limo, send a text to future hubby!!, alone time?, BMs ready/have everything?, limo have snacks/drinks for after ceremony?

    ceremoney - officiant, programs?, fans?, cute seating poem?, aisle runner, unity candle, pew bows/cones/flowers, chairs?, readers, any special additions/changes to ceremony

    after ceremony - drinks, snacks, receiving line, photos, limo, directions, cocktail hour

    reception - cocktail hour, menu cards, favors, seating scroll/place cards, card box, guest book, cake, cake cutters, table numbers, chargers, mints/jordan almonds for the bar, vases to hold the mints/jordan almonds, flowers for any tables or gift table, dj, speeches?, limo, accomodations.


    I know I am probably missing a bunch, but just make a list of each part of the day, then as you look at each part, is there a sub category?  Like with the place cards, the sub category would be what to put them on.  That way you aren't missing anything if you go hour by hour through the day.

    GL - it feels like a lot and overwhelming, but nothing important ever gets overlooked!

    omg thanks! that list helped. I am going to start doing that now- writing down teh day and then writing in things that go along with that time/moment.
    I am also arriving a day early to Narragansett so I figured then id have time to unload and look everything over so god forbid we forget anything at home we can have someone get it!

    Yay!! I'm sure the next 2 months will go quickly. It sounds like you have everything under control! Are you doing the escort cards yourself or having a calligrapher do them? Make sure they're booked if someone else is doing them. Do you have a clear idea of how you want the tables, escort card table, card/guest book table? If you do, start labeling and putting stuff in boxes to drop off to the caterer. That tray looks cute what about loose pearls on the bottom with the cards on top less DiYing. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. My Grandpop died 2 weeks before our wedding. Spend the time you want to with her the wedding stuff will come together it always does!!

    So sorry for your loss!!!
    I agree, just print the place cards and be done with it. No one really notices those things anyway. Some things I didn't see mentioned:
    - Do you have a Guest Book?
    - Are you having wedding programs?
    - Are your BMs all set with their alterations?
    - Does your florist know where and when to deliver your flowers?
    - Once I had a timeline of the day set up, I emailed it out to all the BMs and GMs so that they can figure out their transportation and significant other's. Depending on your timeline, you'll need to think about how the girls' prep bags get from where you get ready to the reception.
    - Type up a list of photos you must have and give to your photographer so he can make sure they all get taken and you don't have to think about it.
    - List of songs to the DJ? Must play and Do Not Play!
