I'm getting married at the Botanical Center in October and using Morin's for catering (so they're setting everything up). My coordinator and I have been going back and forth over suggested floor plans and I can't decide.
She suggests putting the gift table/escort cards in the big entrance room, right in front of the main fountain...I thought it would be better to do this near the entrance of the smaller room where the tables/reception will be held.
Also, if you had your reception there, in the smaller room, did you spilt the tables on each end and do the dance floor in the middle? or all tables on one end?
Both Morins and RWBC coordinators suggest spliting the tables and dance in the middle.
