engagement photos

Hello!
We are going for our engagement phots next weekend, a friend of ours who is just getting his business started is going to take them for us...The only direction he gave was to wear solid colors..Should we be matchy? I feel kinda wierd exactly matching Mike(my fiance). Any advice as to a practial outfit? We are pretty laid back people in general..doing pics at Roger Williams park and another (unknown) inside venue..

we wore complimentary solid colors and our pics came out great. we wore regular clothes (jeans, etc.) bc we wanted to be ourselves, and it made our photos feel more authentic. have fun!!

Personally I think the matchy matchy looks pretty stupid. But I like complimenting colors. I am wearing a casual olive green dress, it has a little black embellishment on the shoulders, so he is going to wear a black polo to compliment it.


I wear dresses often so I won't look over dressed for the pics. But if you don't wear things like that on a regular basis I wouldn't suggest wearing one.

We just went casual. I wouldn't try to match in color just in general style so that your outfits complimant eachother I wore jeans and nice black top and my fiance wore khakis and a polo shirt.

Thanks for all your advice! We have decided to do the complimentary colors...I usually do dresses with leggings and hei s usually jeans and a button down kinda guy..so I think that is what we will do...:) I can't wait!!!
