After Party in Newport

I found this board googling ideas on Newport.  My husband and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary with a dinner party in Newport on 10/23/10.  We are having about 30 people and hosting a trolley tour of Newport during the day, dinner at the Mooring, rooms at Hotel Viking and then breakfast at Viking in the morning.  My question is, the dinner will end around 9:30 or so and we are looking for something fun to do afterwards.  The Mooring event coordinator suggested the Clarke Cooke House for nightlife.  Anyone have any insight on this at all?  I have never been in all my trips to Newport.  Looking for a fun place for drinks and maybe some music/dancing that isn't a sloppy mess kind of a bar - but isn't stuffy!  We are all in our mid/late 30s and a few just a hair over 40.  Suggestions would be very welcome.  Looking to strike a balance between the "just 21 crowd" and a snooze fest.  Thanks everyone!!

Newport Blues Cafe might be a good place. The crowd can be young but not as young as other places in Newport.

I would highly recommend The Blues Cafe, it is great and they have good bands.  I am in my 40's and love it.

Thanks so much...a lot of people seem to be recommending it!  I may have to go down and check it out for myself.
