Beach Wedding Ceremony

Anyone on here have their wedding Ceremony on the beach in RI anywhere? Its always been my dream to say my vows on the beach. I dont even care if I cant set up chairs or anything. Just want to be on the beach. All the contacts I have said either they dont do permits for this or only with a small size party of maybe 20. HELP.

Re: Beach Wedding Ceremony

  • I am not doing a beach wedding, however i did look into Eastons Beach Rotunda in Newport. You can set up the chairs right in the sand! Our moderator RoyalOrient had her wedding there and her pics are beautiful! I suggest you talk tobher about it, I did when I was considering it and she gave me so much information!

  • when i was looking at the atlantic beach club in middletown (right on the beach) they told me the plot of grass that goes right to the sand (heading toward eastons rotunda) is considered a park in middletown and that you could get a permit fee for $100and have your ceremony there..you should check it out
  • The grass spot HeatherandJohn4 is talking about is called Wheeler-Dunlap Park and that is where my husband and I got married.  You need a permit through Middletown Parks and Recreation, but that is easy to get.  We loved it!  I'd recommend getting married at about 6 p.m. during the summer though. Atantic Beach Club has a party with loud music until 5:30 p.m., which is when we had our wedding.  Needless to say, the band playing decided their last song should be "Slap that b*tch" and it was blaring really loud right before I walked down the aisle.  Thankfully my husband and I have good senses of humor, so it didn't really bother us.  We actually still laugh at it. However some of our older guests weren't big fans of the song. Thankfully my Dad was inside and the ABC waiting to walk me down the aisle and couldn't hear it.  He doesn't have my same sense of humor :-x!
