Dollar Dance

Hello:  My wedding is in July 2011 and I was thinking instead of the garter toss we would do the 'Dollar Dance'.  Is this tacky?  Do people even do this anymore?

I personally, would not do the dollar dance.  Guests are already giving you gifts etc... Why not try doing something like a generations dance, where you present your bouquet to the woman of the couple that is married the longest?

I think the dollar dance is generally considered very tacky these days.  I'd skip it.

Unless you are of a eastern European culture where (litterally) throwing cash at the bride & groom is a tradition, the "Western Dollar Dance" is terribly tacky.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.  I'm definitely going to skip the dollar dance.  Do you have any suggestions for an upbeat bridal party introduction song?

We did different songs for each bridal party couple to match their personalities; it was a blast!
