Hi I have been a lurker for awhile. I just became engaged to my best  friend and am very excited. We are getting married in November because my FI might be getting another job out of state. Our families both live here. We want to make ithe planning unstressful, but I have been told that is impossible. We are paying for
everything  except for my dress and the rehersal dinner   I am doing my flowers with Stop and Shop, and we are thinking about Kirkbrae country club. My friend is a photograper, and my sister is the only bridesmaid. My big question is where to go for my dress. My mom and dad are paying for the dress, so they are the ones along with my sister who I want to go with. Any store suggestions. I honestly have never been to a wedding store. What do you wear? Sorry this is long but I do need advice. Thanks and happy to be here!

Welcome!  Regarding the dress, is price an issue?  I got mine on ebay, but originally from davids bridal for $90.

Congrats! I hope you find the boards useful with your planning. So far, wedding planning has been relatively stress-free but I am sure once I am closer to the date, I will be pulling my hair out. I am considering hiring a DOC just to save me from the stress. As for the dress, Vows in Newton, MA sell nice designer dresses for a fraction of what some bridal boutiques sell. I also suggest Running of the Brides at Filene's Basement. You can score a beautiful dress for $250. I have met 3 brides who did that. For bridal boutiques, Ana's Bridal and Tux  in East Providence has a large selection and so does Alexandra's Bridal in Fall River, Ma. G.L

I just had my wedding at Kirkbrae and I LOVED it.  I will post reviews soon.
I went to davids but i would say try bridal stores, they might have some in ur budget.
