Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

Ceremony Decor

Please bear with my weird questions and realize that I am completely overwhelmed with what I have left to do, so support would be appreciated. :)

The chapel we are getting married in comes with no alter, not-so-"us" flower arrangements, definitely not-so-"us" tulle bows for the aisle, and one table.

We are wanting to replace the arrangements with something else. Huge flower arrangements can be expensive, does anyone have any suggestions of something that we could put on either side of us as decor? Has anyone ever done just two taller tables with tons of different sized candles?

Where should we put the table for the sand ceremony? Would it be appropriate to put the picture of FI's deceased father on that table? Or should we put that somewhere else?

Is it weird to rent an altar for the chapel? Any suggestions on some sort of a focal point (besides us).

And down the aisle, we are thinking of doing a modern twist on the tulle bows and using tulle balls, white blooms, and feathers (similar to hair fascinators) to go down every other pew and then the "other" pews would have a tall cylinder vase with some sort of filler/candle... Should I plan to somehow tie those vases against the pew or do you think they would be safe not to tump over or get knocked over?
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.
