Hi All! I was married a few weeks ago and I know I always found vendor reviews helpful, so I thought I'd add my two cents in here

Ceremony- South Ferry Church- B+
This ended up being a wonderful compromise for us, because we wanted to get married in a church but I didn't want to be baptized. It is a beautiful old church and has a ton of charm and looks wonderful in pictures. That said, in the summer it gets HOT. We had a beautiful 75-80 degree day and the poor guys were sweltering. Also bear in mind that the woman that runs the church is a little... flaky. She accidentally cancelled our wedding and rebooked it for another couple, so our ceremony ended up being a little rushed which was stressful.
Officiant- Rev. Victoria Burdick- A+
She came highly recommended on these boards and by a few coworkers that had witnessed her ceremonies. She is a riot and was definitely the right pick for us. Very spiritual and lighthearted. Everyone commented on how wonderful and touching our ceremony was, she had people laughing and crying at the same time. She made our wedding day so so so special and I cannot rave enough about her.
Reception Venue- The Towers- B+
Let me just say the Towers is an amazing location and you would be hard pressed to find anything like it. The view was amazing with a full moon rising over the ocean. I gave it a B+ because even with a cooler summer day and being on the water, it was still uncomfortably hot and many of my guests spent a majority of the night on the balcony instead of inside. I was concerned about the size, but with ~110 people we had plenty of room, I really would not push it over 130-140 though or you risk getting squished. Kate is notoriously hard to get ahold of. She is a wonderful woman but she hates using email and would constantly respond to my emails be leaving long voicemails. Use of the patio was great but there is little shade so some people were uncomfortable being out there for a full hour. The liquor rules are tough too, open bar only and the bar can only be open for 4.5 hours, so if you want a long party you will have to look elsewhere. I would definitely get married here again because the location cannot be beat and the building itself is so beautiful, but you definitely sacrifice a little comfort for it.
Caterer- Russell Morin- A+ (times a million)
I cannot say enough about how worth it they are. Our coordinator, Maggie, is possibly the sweetest most bubbly person on earth. From the food (which was amazing) to the service, everything was impeccable. The room was set up exactly as I had imagined it. We were met at the door with drinks when we got to the reception and two giant trays of apps were brought to our room. We had personal attention from a dedicated waiter and our drinks were never empty. Everything was loaded into my parent's car at the end of the night and H and I were given boxes of late night sandwiches, chips and cookies on our way out. I loved that I had the peace of mind knowing everything was taken care of and I didn't have to worry about logistics at all on the day of, it seriously saved my sanity.
